Don Hartmann
, President &
Chief Executive Officer 

President and Founder of Hallmark, Don is widely acclaimed as one of the top tax planning consultants in the nation. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) with over thirty-five years experience in financial services. His proven ability to take very complex issues and make them remarkably clear has helped to enlighten and inspire audiences from coast to coast. Approved to teach continuing legal education (CLE) in 22 states, Don has conducted over 300 Continuing Education workshops throughout the country and he has educated the staffs and trustees of over 100 non-profit institutions. He has been responsible for the implementation of over $500 million of family partnerships, charitable trusts and private family foundations.

Don's civic activities include serving as Chairman of the Board of Sharing & Caring Ministries, an inner city ministry in Denver, as well as serving on the Financial Advisors Network for World Vision.

            
Ray Swanson
, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Ray brings to Hallmark over 35 years of hands-on experience in virtually all phases of small business operations, including 20 years public accounting experience primarily dealing with small businesses as the owner of two CPA firms. He spent two years in the computer software business where he landed the contract to develop the initial national inventory and report to Congress for the RTC (S&L bailout), and 6 years as negotiator, salesman, and partner of an investment securities firm. During his years with the investment securities firm, he spent three years structuring and negotiating capital infusions approximating $200 million in various investments such as real estate, nursing homes, and equipment leasing.  He was instrumental in growing the 20 year-old family-owned business from four to fifteen employees.  At Hallmark, Ray is currently involved in developing a computerized system to automate and securitize our internal operations, and will be responsible for due diligence of the investments we offer and the over-all financial affairs of the firm.

 

Jed Hartmann, Director of Retirement Planning Services

Jed graduated in 1998 from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and a minor in Economics.  Prior to joining the Hallmark team, Jed worked for Renaissance Administration, Inc., of Indianapolis, Indiana, the world's largest trust administration firm.  As a client services manager with Renaissance, Jed was responsible for the ongoing administration of over 400 trusts.  With more than 6 years experience in trust administration, Jed brings personal and professional service to all of Hallmark Consulting Group's clients.  Jed also holds a Series 7 securities license, Colorado Insurance license, and is purusing a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.  Jed is an avid golfer and skier and lives in Castle Rock with his wife, Sara.

Vint HartmannDirector of Investment & Insurance Services

Vint Hartmann started his financial services career right after college, in 1995, with Ameritus Financial Services.  In 1997 Vint began similar endeavor with a large insurance and financial services company.  For nearly a decade, Vint has specialized in helping families protect and grow their assets.  He also holds a Colorado Insurance license as well as Series 6 & 22 Securities licenses.  Vint enjoys skiing, fishing, camping and golfing.




Katherine Gray Director of Operations
With over 15 years experience in office management and administration, as well as a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, Katherine is responsible for office operations, including the servicing and monitoring of all client accounts, management of financial resources and coordination of special projects.  Katherine also does volunteer work for the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club, and lives with her husband, Patrick, in Centennial.

 

 

Judy Nelson, Director of Client Services

Judy Nelson, our Director of Client Services, has been with us since July 2005.  Before moving to Colorado, she was the Continuing Legal Education Training Administrator for one of Atlanta’s largest law firms for 16 1/2 years.  Here at Hallmark, Judy is responsible for the processing of client account information and recordkeeping, making sure that each client’s file is accurately maintained and kept up-to-date.  She also handles our busy phone lines, greets clients, and assists in the day-to-day office operations. Her southern charm, knowledge and expertise is an asset to Hallmark.
